Why You Don’t Need 150 Photos of Your Baby

And why less is often so much more

One of the questions I’m often asked by prospective clients is:

“Do we get all the photos you take during the session?”

The short answer is: no — and that’s very intentional.

I don’t hand over hundreds of images because I don’t take a documentary-style approach where every frame is meant to be kept. Instead, I work with great care and artistry to create a collection of images that are emotionally rich, visually beautiful, and meaningful, each on its own.

Each photograph I deliver has been carefully chosen, hand-edited, and crafted to highlight and convey something that stands apart - your connection, your baby’s expression, the quiet details that matter most.

I offer curated collections of 10, 20, or 30+ images — and that’s not a limit, it’s a gift. These aren’t casual snapshots that you scroll through at the rate of 100 per minute. They’re images that invite you to feel, to relive, to savor - one at a time, slowly - and to return to again and again.

Think of it like your favorite book, song, or meal. More isn’t always better

So no, you won’t get 150 nearly-identical photos of your baby in a row. You’ll get the best of the best — the ones that are the most powerful, the most beautiful, the most meaningful - now and 25 years from now.
