The sitter stage is magical — that window between 6–9 months when your baby is finally able to sit confidently, unsupported for a few minutes at a time… and suddenly the whole world looks different! Their hands are free. Their eyes follow everything. Their personality begins pouring out of them — unfiltered, curious, joyful, completely their own.

Sitter sessions celebrate this shift. This milestone. This moment when your baby feels less like a tiny newborn and more like a little person with opinions, bursts of laughter, and the sweetest range of expressions you’ve ever seen.

Here’s what your sitter session experience looks and feels like inside my studio.

When You Arrive

The moment you walk through the door, the pace slows. My cozy, homey Beit Shemesh studio is set up with soft music, gentle lighting, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that babies immediately relax into. I give your little one time to take in the space, look around, and get comfortable — while I chat quietly with you so your baby can warm up to my voice.

There’s no rush. No pressure. Just space for your baby to feel safe, curious, and ready.

Styling, Outfits & Planning

Before your session, we’ve already planned the details — the color palette, the outfits, the props we’ll use, and the overall artistic direction. You’ll receive my full style guide, along with personalized wardrobe guidance so you know exactly how to dress anyone who will be photographed with baby.

For baby, I have everything:

Soft, beautiful outfits.

Timeless, supportive props.

Thoughtfully selected toys.

Blankets, accessories, even diapers and wipes.

You only need to bring baby's food and a pacifier — and any sentimental item you’d love to include.

Snacks, drinks, coffee and tea for the rest of the fam are on me.

How the Session Flows

A sitter session typically lasts 1–2 hours, depending entirely on your baby’s cues.

We’ll start gently, watching for that moment when baby feels ready to be placed down with a toy or prop. From there, everything is baby-led:

• breaks for snacks, milk, or cuddles

• outfit changes when baby is calm and centered

• pauses to reconnect, reset, and breathe

As a mom of eight, baby cues are my native language — and I follow them instinctively.

We photograph a variety of setups:

• natural, minimalist portraits

• baby sitting happily with supportive props

• interactive toys and textures

• warm, connection-filled family images

Each setup is chosen to highlight how your baby has grown and how their personality shines.

Comfort & Safety

Safety is woven into every moment.

Props are weighted so they won’t tip.

I (or you) stay within arm’s reach at all times.

The room is warmed or cooled depending on baby’s outfit and the season.

And for babies who are still a little wobbly, I use supportive props with higher sides — or photograph them lying on their belly or back.

You can relax knowing your baby is safe, supported, and never pushed beyond their comfort.

Portrait Magic

Every milestone session has its magic — those moments parents don’t realize they’ll treasure until they see them frozen in a photograph.

My favorites?

That intense, heart-stopping eye contact — the look that says, “Here I am.”

The little expressions that shift in a split second from curious to delighted to proud.

And the joy in each relationship:

the way your baby lights up for Daddy

the softness reserved for Mommy

the playfulness with each sibling

These moments always make you wonder how you ever lived in a world where this child didn’t exist yet.

After Your Session

Once baby has finished showing off their sweetest selves, I begin the quiet work.

I go through every image and select the very best ones — the photographs with the biggest emotional and visual impact, the ones you will reach for in a month and in 20 years.

Each one is artistically edited and retouched by hand to create a magnificent gallery of

approximately 30–35 final images.

Your Viewing Appointment

About 2-3 weeks later, you’ll come back for your Viewing Appointment — a beautiful, emotional experience of seeing your images for the first time.

Together, we’ll choose the photographs you cannot imagine living without and select the perfect package for your family. You’ll get to see and touch my carefully curated collection of albums and artwork that are available to you, and we'll go through all your digital+print package options so you can preserve this milestone with artwork that truly honors long into the future, when it will matter most.

A Final Word

Sitter sessions are joyful. Heart-expanding. Filled with wonder, awe and gratitude.
