ABOUT CHANI
I came to this work later than most photographers, and from an entirely different angle. Not because I had a life-long love of cameras — but because I stood at a doorway watching my oldest child leave home and I understood, for the first time, what photographs actually do for a family.
Not while you're taking them. Years later. When you need them.
Over the years, I've come to know that the photographs we return to most, the ones that are the most precious and hold the most meaning, are the ones that help us remember not only how life looked — but how it felt to love the people in it and be loved by them.
I'm a mother of many children, most already grown, and I've spent nearly a decade photographing newborns and their families. This is the understanding I bring to yours.
THE PHOTOGRAPHS THAT STAY WITH US
You will likely have thousands of photographs of your children over the years.
But the ones that become part of the emotional history of a family are rarely only about documenting what someone looked like at a certain age.
They hold something deeper:
connection,
belonging,
recognition,
the feeling of having truly been there inside a season of life that mattered.
Beautiful photographs will draw you in.
Photographs with feeling will bring you back to them again and again.
A CALM, THOUGHTFUL EXPERIENCE
I know that for many families, especially in the newborn stage, even meaningful things can begin to feel like one more overwhelming task to coordinate.
So while the photographs themselves are deeply intentional, the experience of creating them is designed to feel calm, clear, and well-supported from beginning to end.
I have all the clothing, props and accessories we'll need for your baby and I’ll guide you through everything gently — from planning and wardrobe to selecting the photographs and artwork that will ultimately live in your home.
Nothing about the experience needs to feel complicated, overwhelming, or high-pressure.
MADE TO BE LIVED WITH
I believe photographs matter most when they remain part of everyday life.
In albums pulled off the shelf through the years.
In frames your children grow up seeing every day.
In the ordinary rhythm of family life.
Not lost. Not forgotten.
Seen often.
Held onto.
Returned to again and again.
This is why a print credit is included in every collection—so I make sure you leave with something tangible and lasting in your hands, already taken care of for you.
IF THIS SPEAKS TO YOU
If you’re expecting or have recently welcomed a new baby, and this speaks to the way you want to remember this season of life, I’d love to hear from you.
Based in Beit Shemesh, I work with families across Jerusalem, Modi'in,
Tel Aviv, Gush Etzion, Givat Shmuel, Raanana and the wider central Israel area. My
work has been recognised with international awards in newborn
photography, and I've spent nearly a decade refining an approach that
is as calm and unhurried for you as it is for your baby. If you'd like
to know more about what a session looks like, visit the session info
page or reach out and I'll walk you through.
