Every portrait commission begins with a conversation, where I get to know you, what you're dreaming of, what you love, and we plan how to make that happen. This includes choosing the perfect location whether in studio, outdoors or in your own home, the look and feel of the final images, Custom Styling, Client Wardrobe, Hair & Makeup & Wall Art Planning.

WHERE HALF THE MAGIC HAPPENS
Your session itself will be a relaxed and enjoyable experience with drinks and snacks for everyone and no strict time limit, so you never feel rushed. I use my professional skill and equipment strategically to flatter every family member no matter the genre, and give you detailed posing guidance to create beautiful, loving, connected imagery without ever leaving you wondering what to do.
DURING:
CRAFTING YOUR LEGACY ARTWORK
This is where it all culminates, with an in-person reveal to choose the images you cannot live without, high-end retouching so what you receive is not simply a photo but a digital painting, designing your individual art pieces to coordinate perfectly with your home décor using professional software that allows us to design to scale on your very own walls, and finally the ordering, delivery and installation of your breathtaking heirloom artwork (I bring tissues!).

Most families invest between $3,000 and $15,000 or more on their legacy portraits, but beyond the base package investment of $2450, the amount you choose to invest is completely up to you. You purchase only the images and heirloom art products that you absolutely love and cannot live without.

I'm Chani, a multi-award-winning fine art newborn, baby & child, and motherhood portrait artist, and a mom of eight. I have rocked, soothed, posed and photographed almost 100 newborns and their families, countless children of every age and expectant couples over the past seven years and I've loved everything they've thrown at me!
This is where I’m supposed to tell you that I was born with a camera in my hand and I’ve always had a burning passion and a golden eye for photography, except the real truth is that I found my way to photography -- or photography called to me -- pretty late in the game. Too late for me to create this kind of magnificent and deeply meaningful family legacy for my own babies and children, half of whom are already adults.
And that is how I know just how much these heirloom portraits will mean to you and your family 20, 40, 80 years from now.
Because my family doesn't have them. And that's exactly why I am completely devoted to making sure your family will.

Sessions take place in your home, a local home studio, or at a beautiful outdoor location chosen especially for you. I bring everything we need for your session to every location.
WHO?
Every session is custom-designed for you as we photograph your newborn, baby, children and even you, Mom, to speak directly to your heart - and your children's hearts - now and 80 years from now! Siblings, parents and even grandparents are included and warmly encouraged to participate.

Every session includes a breathtaking collection of museum-quality matted prints in a luxury keepsake box and matching hi-res digitals. Custom albums, gift prints and wall art are our specialty and are always available to add on to your package.
