My work is built around preserving that chapter in a beautiful, meaningful and tangible way.

As a mother of grown children, I know what it feels like to search for photographs that were never taken.

​

When my oldest daughter left home at 19, I reached for albums that didn't exist because I never had them made.

​

It broke my heart in ways I didn't expect.

​

And the ache wasn't only mine. I ached for her too - for my daughter, whom I wished I could gift a collection of images to anchor her as she packed up her life into boxes. Not a cloud full of phone snaps, but actual photographs that captured her essence and told her story: who she was, who she is to us, her family who loves her, who she'll always be. A tangible legacy of identity and belonging to hold in her hands when life pulls her far from home.

That longing reshaped everything for me.

Now, I photograph for that future moment -- the one you don't see coming, when you'll need to remember not just how they looked, but how it felt to love them this small, and how it was for them to be loved. The gestures, the glances, the way you fit together... all of it.
